Your Opinion, Please…

I’d like to hear your thoughts on something. Many new home salespeople feel that they could sell anything. Is that you?

If you couldn’t sell homes and you wanted another sales job, what product or service would you want to sell? Forget qualifications, geography, lifestyle, or any other hindrance. Just jot down your preference in the box below.

If you couldn’t sell homes, what would you want to sell?

Chime in, folks!

I've already tried it. I thought it was the selling aspect I liked and after trying to find jobs in other fields, I realized that it is selling real estate that I like. Sooo, if I weren't selling real estate, I probably would like selling fine art, or home products, such as marble, cabinetry or items for the home, but selling real estate is certainly my passion.

I would like to design and sell jewelry....or large event planning/services....I think I would be great at that!

If I was not selling new homes, I would like to sell clothes and jewelry. You can change a person's perception on themselves by helping them dress better.
I also like the idea of selling wine and cheese. If you can't look good at least, you could feel better!
I am selling, very part time, creative ways to preserve ones precious photo memories through digital "scrapbooking". I just made a canvas print for my son of photos of his beloved dog who we had to have put to sleep this year. I don't think I have ever given him a gift that he appreciated more. Check out my website: www.memorybinder.com. I love it. I use some of the products as closing gifts for buyers.

If I wasn't selling homes then I would like to sell wine to wine shops and other specialty stores. A lot of people love drinking good wine and I think that pairing wine with food is very interesting.

Secondly, if I wasn't selling new homes then I would love selling easy to follow comprehensive nutritional plans to people that will help them attain optimal health if they follow the program. I love being healthy and how good it feels to be healthy. A comprehensive nutritional plan which is simple to follow and which works would be something that a lot of people need, want and will definitely change their world.

I would go back home to Hawaii and join my sister selling filipino/local food in one of her many food stands in the island of Oahu. Anyone want to join me?

With global warming I would move to Alaska, it would be great for the ego to be referred to as the guy who sells ice to Eskimos

.....ketchup popsickle to an Eskimo with white gloves!

Probably not the popular answer, but I'd be a lobbyist....developing relationships and selling your issues. Can be lucrative, too!

Pharmaceuticals (and not at the high school). The impact of the correct drug on a person's quality of life, making someone more comfortable with perhaps, greater funtionality, would bring me considerable job satisfaction.

    Jeff,
I would have to retire and reinvent myself!!! Well, maybe I'd selll boats...it's like a home and you certainly would be changing someone's life!

I would like to create beautiful gift baskets and sell them for all occasions--really big ones!

    Jeff,

If I wasn't selling new homes there are two other loves of mine that I know I could sell. The first would be spas/hot tubs. I bought one about two years and they are amazing products. Some days "life changing", like a home. Let the magic bubbles soak your troubles away. And if you've ever been to a spa/hot tub trade show it seems to be a thrill a minute/high energy/buy today/make the best deal right now environment. That would be be a fun way to make a living.

Second if I wasn't "changing people's worlds in new home sales" I have often thought about buying a food truck and selling "street food" fish tacos, gourmet hot dogs, designer burgers, ect.
Attend concerts, big time events, out side night clubs, golf tournaments, ect. Or Twitter your location nightly to your "fan club". Could be cool.
